On Saturday, Aug.11 @ 3:00PM, HDSA Northern California in partnership with professional endurance training/fundraising organization, Marathon Matt, is launching the inaugural ‘TEAM HDSA-Run For a Cure’ training/fundraising program! Every Saturday at 3PM from Aug.11 through Oct.27, TEAM HDSA program participants will congregate at the Marina Green Monkey Bars (near the intersection of Marina/Webster) in San Francisco for a professionally coached run workout. Training culminates with the completion of the US Half Marathon or 12K on Sunday, Nov.4, 2007! Above and beyond the weekly professionally coached run workout, participants will receive a comprehensive training schedule for the duration of the program, a fund raising strategy workbook, clinics/seminars with industry leaders in nutrition, injury prevention, etc., a weekly newsletter, ongoing support/guidance from a professional running coach, a technical training shirt, and much more! While there is no cost to program participants, TEAM HDSA participants are asked to raise a minimum of $700 (12K participants) or $1300 (half marathoners) for HDSA of Northern California. The money participants raise goes directly to the cause.
